80 Poppies for 80 Years: Honouring the 80th Anniversary of VE Day

At Cougar Accident Repair Centre, we take immense pride in not only delivering expert vehicle repairs but also in recognising and honouring the moments that matter most to our community and our country.

This year marks the 80th Anniversary of VE Day – a powerful reminder of the courage, resilience, and sacrifices made by those who served during World War II. To commemorate this historic milestone, our very own recovery driver, Kent, has created something truly special.

Using spray out cards from our paint shop, Kent has lovingly handcrafted 80 poppies – one for each year since Victory in Europe. Each poppy is a tribute to the men and women whose bravery brought about peace and freedom in 1945. It’s a creative, heartfelt gesture that reflects the spirit of remembrance that VE Day inspires.

These 80 poppies serve as more than just a visual tribute – they symbolise our collective memory and enduring gratitude to those who gave so much.
